Account hacked? Twitter left flummoxed as ICC goes ‘Imagine’ over MS Dhoni

The Twitter handle of the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday posted an array of tweets on veteran Indian cricketer MS Dhoni during the third and final T20I between India and New Zealand at the Seddon Park in Hamilton. The first post read, “Our MS take on “Imagine” (with apologies to Yoko Ono and the Fab Five)…”. Here are the tweets... "You may say I’m a seamer But I’m not James Anderson. I hope someday you’ll edge behind And the cordon will appeal as one!" — ICC (@ICC) February 10, 2019 These tweets left fans perplexed as many felt ICC has now become an MS Dhoni fan club. Following his dismissal, India were left with a mountain to climb. Dinesh Karthik and Krunal Pandya tried their hands at chasing the score but failed to reach the target in the final over. The defeat was India's first ever loss in a T20I series decider since 2015 as their unbeaten streak of seven wins was broken by the Kiwis. Also, their unbeaten streak of 10 T20I series win was left in tatters with the narrow defeat on Sunday. In the T20I series against New Zealand, he managed only 61 runs at 30.50.

The Twitter handle of the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Sunday posted an array of tweets on veteran Indian cricketer MS Dhoni during the third and final T20I between India and New Zealand at the Seddon Park in Hamilton. The tweets left social media followers flummoxed with many thinking either ICC’s account got hacked or else it turned itself into an MS Dhoni fan club.

The first post read, “Our MS take on “Imagine” (with apologies to Yoko Ono and the Fab Five)…”. ICC, through its 13 tweets on Sunday afternoon, rewrote John Lennon’s classic and evergreen song Imagine while glorifying the former Indian captain.
