Josh Avsec matched with Michelle Arendas on the dating app in September 2014

When Josh Avsec, 22, matched with Michelle Arendas, 21, in September 2014, he dropped her a casual message.

Just over two months later on November 28, he got a reply, with Michelle putting her delayed response down to the fact that her “phone had died”.

But rather than sending her a shirty response, Josh, from Ohio, U.S., joked: “Wow, you found that pretty fast. It usually takes me about five months to find my charger.”

Later that day (a good 20 hours later), Michelle, of Ontario, Canada, replied: “Yeah I just wanted to make sure it was fully charged, 0 to 100 real slow.”

Josh then gave Michelle a taste of her own medicine, sending a message back nearly two months later in January 2015, writing: “Hey, sorry was in the shower.”

The following month on February 13, Michelle hit back: “Hey just saw this message, sorry I was in class.”
