Billiards, commonly known as pool, is a cue sport in which the objective is to strike balls with a cue stick to knock them into six pockets on a billiard table. It is played on a rectangular table with six pockets, one at each corner and one in the middle of each long side. The game can be played by two players or two teams of two players.
